I believe you have two separate problems. The flashing "S" is the TCU's
way of indicating that something is wrong with the transmission or one
of the sensors. In your case, this is probably the VSS, Vehicle Speed
Sensor. On newer Hondas, the VSS is located on the transmission, some
older ones have had it located in the instrument cluster (in which case
the car has a conventional speedometer cable). The VSS is used by the
TCU (transmission control unit), the speedometer, the odometer, the ECU
(Engine Control Unit, usually called just the computer) and the cruise
    control.

The problem with not being able to shift out of park is related to the
shift interlock system. As you know, you have to step on the brake in
order to shift out of park. If this interlock system fails, it is
usually the switch at the brake pedal. Check if your brake lights work.
It could also be the solenoid located at the base of the shift lever.

Oh, and if you at least try to fake some humility, you'd be surprised at
how much easier it is to get help, both here in cyberspace and in the
    real world.
