    I am having shifting problems with my 90 Accord LX automatic transmission.
    How can I repair this? Sounds like "Shift Interlock Solenoid" needs to be
    replaced.

    Problem 1
    =========
    Sometimes, I have to place a key in Shift Lock to shift from Park to a gear.

    Problem 2
    =========
    Sometimes, the green in dash Sport Light will come on, then the car will start
    rev-up will I am driving. I will also, have to place the shift in Low Drive 1
    when starting from a complete start to get enough power to move, then I shift
    to regular drives ... but the car only will shift one time. So the result is
    I am riding down the highway with rev-up car in gear 2.

    Advance Auto Parts had a Reliability Rating comment on the transmission ...
    "An occasional problem on this vehicle is failure of the Stop Lamp Switch.
    Failure of the Stop Lamp Switch may prevent the Shift Interlock Solenoid from
    operating, then the Gear Shift Selector cannot be moved from the Park position
    on vehicles equipped with an Automatic Transmission."
