"Side Airbag" Intermitent Warning

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by Developer Relations, Jul 17, 2003.

  1. The little yellow "Side Airbag" warning light in my 2001 Accord V6 EX has
been on, off, flashing and solid for about 5,000 miles now. At my 30 K
service, the dealer said he couldn't make it happen, but then I drive away
and it happens again a day later.

Looking for ideas on this one.

    TIA,
    -Sam

This will happen if someone small sits forward in the seat or if you put a
package in the seat next to you.

  3. Interesting. That would be an exception for me. It happens when I'm
driving alone, seated and not moving around for hours, or sometimes if I
head up the street for an errand.

Thanks for your help - I'll mention it to the tech.
