Side molding/scratch protection 2003 Civic

    I'm wondering if it's possible to purchase some sort of molding or scratch
    guards to put on my 2003 Civic to go on the area along the bottom sides of the
    car just below the doors. This seems like a particuarly vulnerable area for
    getting scuffed up by feet getting in and out of the car and also for being hit
    by road debris. I've had my car for less than a month and I've all ready
    touched up a few places in this area.

    Also, if I can get this, is it easy to install myself or should I let a dealer
    do it? Is it simply a matter of peeling off a plastic strip from some foam
    backing tape and pressing it on or are there adhesives and such involved?
