speed surge

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by Charles Watkins, May 2, 2004.

  1. help. i have a 93 honda civic. my a/c went south and had it repaired. new
fan switch and fan assembly unit. A/C works great, however, when A/C is on
and I have contstant accelleration, (even with cruise control) the engine
speeds up and down continually. It does not happen however, when A/C is not
on? Can that still be the VSS, (vehicle speed sensor) or would it cause the
surge regardless if the A/C was in use or not. Appreciate any advise.

Is the compressor kicking in and out? You may have a low charge on AC.
