Speedometer problems

    Honda Acord from 1991
    the speedometer changes from normal operation to zero and then back to
    normal operation.
    anybody knows where to search for the reason?
    perhaps a faulty signal transmitter - or perhaps just a bad connection.

    but where to look for these "trouble makers" ?
