I have one of those solar battery chargers that plugs into your
cigarette lighter and trickles a charge to the battery. My 2002 CR-V
doesn't have a cigarette lighter, it has DC power outlets. What would
happen if I plug the solar battery charger into one of those outlets?
Anything bad? Would it feed a charge to the battery?

It would work just as if you plugged it into a cigarette lighter jack.
For all practical purposes a DC power outlet is just a cigarette lighter
jack without the actual lighter part plugged in.

It would work fine IF the DC power outlet is not "switched". See if
it is still hot when the key is out of the ignition. If so, fine.
If not, the there will be no path to the battery for the solar charger
    when the key is off.
