I have done the SRS reset using a paperclip. It worked but came back on
immediately (indicating a hard fault). I notice the passenger side seat
plug was not plugged in to anything so I jumped the first and third pins
also with a paperclip and left it in (did reset again). The light went out
and stayed out until I buckled my passenger seat then light came on again
thought they were unrelated so I repeated the process drove down the road
then buckled up sure enough SRS came on again. Well this leads me to
believe that the fault is in the plug not being plugged in. The only
problem there is no plug to plug it into. The match on the drivers seat
goes to the seatbelt locking mechanism checked no wires of any type on the
other seatbelt. I would appreciate any ideas/opinions about this. I feel
the fault has something to do with the plug because of the light staying out
when I jumped it. I should mention it was a 3 prong and I was able to only
jump 1st and 3rd prong. It is a manual seat so the plug is not a power seat
motor as under drivers side. Would they run this plug for the seatbelt
without having its the receiver already there? As said before any insight
    would be appreciated!

    Thanks in advance

isn't the srs system gauranteed for 10 years? why not ask the dealer? or try
your local auto parts store who may diagnose for free.

You can't second guess the light without reading out the codes. The code
will tell where the problem resides. There are many plugs in the wiring
harness that only get used with certain features.

i bet it's for a drivers side seatbelt buckle. they have a tendency
to stop working. take it to the dealer and get it diagnosed. if the
SRS light is on the air bags aren't functional.
