Stolen, then stripped

I got home late last night (about 11:30) to my abode in a quiet
suburban neighborhood while driving my newer car. My '95 Integra
GS-R was still there in its usual spot, parked across the street.
At about 1 AM, I answered the door to a couple of my local men in
blue. They asked if I knew where my car was or if I had let
anyone borrow it. I was wondering if it might have rolled
somewhere (if I didn't set the brake). They informed me that it
was noticed in a suspicious (but not necessarily illegal)
situation late at night, and they'd run the plates. Apparently,
they had no cause to pull them over. They took my report, and
    went on their merry way.

So I was a bit shellshocked, couldn't sleep for a bit, and took
the day off of work. I woke up late and contacted my insurance
    co. including the adjuster.

So late today, I got a call from an officer from the Berkeley
Police Dept. informing me that my car had been located in the
(upscale) Berkeley Hills. He informed me that all seats, the
factory radio, and the steering column were stripped. In addition,
the spare tire had replaced one of the good wheels (I had a pair
    of new tires too).

I had wheel locks, but they probably located the key. I'm not
sure what will happen with the radio, since it needs a code. I'm
guessing the steering wheel was taken for the airbag. I'm
curious about what might be missing, but it was mostly junk in
    there anyways.

Man - this really pisses me off.

You're still lucky, in that your car still has the engine. My cousin's
Civic got stolen in front of her house. The thieves stripped everything
off, only the shell was parked somewhere else. She got pissed, so she
    bought a VW Jetta.

My friend's Si got stolen and stripped, with the shell left. She now
drive an Altima. My POS Civic cx only lost 2 radios, H emblems, and fog
lights in five different incidents. I'm driving around with stock black
rims. It's risky owning a Honda.

Remove the GSR emblems, put on stock rims without wheel covers. Replace
    the seats. Enjoy it.

Nah. I'm guessing my insurance settlement will be somewhere around
the value of the car. I've got a newer car anyways.

I just got my RSX-S a couple weeks ago. I didn't have it 12 hours and
I pulled out the dental floss and hairdriver and pulled the "Type S"
badge off. If I don't, some kid will be driving a Honda Civic Type S.

Hopefully it (the entire car) won't get stolen.

Sorry to hear about your stolen car.
