I have a 98 Honda Accord and the reading is hot. The funny thing is if
I Leave the thermostat in and turn on heater, the temperature returns
to normal. I have tried multiple thermostats with no luck. Also
replaced radiator and water pump. However if I run without a
thermostat I am fine and can run with AC. Dealership believes it is
blown head gasket, any other suggestions? I was going to do a
compression test that might help for head gasket as well, right?

    Thanks
    Wayne

  2. Thermostats put in backwards? Or, you open the heater valve, air
bubbles rushes away from thermostat. Thermostat open and car runs
cools. Bubbles came from head leak? All speculations.
