The new Accord seems bigger, heavier, fancier, than previous Accords. I
think I am disappointed. Do you agree with me?

While this is true, I think it has grown to the point of being obese
and this is what the OP is trying to point out. It is almost in Avalon
and 300 territory, and surpasses the Explorer and Pilot in length.

  4. It is bigger, yes, and as I get older I prefer larger cars. As much as I
would love another Civic for its better gas mileage, I could no longer go
back to one after 4-1/2 years with my 2004 Accord. So I'M not complaining.

Yes, I agree that you are disappointed. Welcome to the Planet Earth!
What new generation of ANY car ever gets smaller, lighter, more
spartan? Of course, the generally get better looking today. Sadly,
not in the new Accords case. It's probably one of the ugliest Hondas
    ever, overstyled and very frumpy-looking.

Yes, this is my point. It is as if it is not an Accord anymore.

Yes, I did not want to say it in the post. Thanks for saying it. I thought
this Accord is not a beautiful Accord.

The same can be said of the last six generations.
Ever seen what was called an accord in 1981?
Every generation since has grown heavier and larger.

Well, it isn't just an Accord anymore. The Acura TL is built in the
same factory on the Accord platform. But I like the interior room of
the new Accord. I think the '81 Accord has been functionally replaced
    by the Fit.
