I was wondering, I have a 96 honda accord lx non vtec, well today i notice
something different. With my foot off the gas, I will tap the gas pedall
alittle then let it go well my engine made like a ticking sound then
stopped, then i did it again pressing the pedal alittle then letting ago and
the engine made a funny sound then stopped. Is this a timing problem?

What stopped, the engine or the ticking sound?

Is it a very fast ticking sound that you can only hear when the car is
at low rpms? If yes, your car may need a valve adjustment. My 94 Accord
EXR has that noise, but since I have to change the timing belt in 10k
km, I'll postpone the valve adjustment untill then...

well at low rpms but i would tap on the gas at low rpms then left off and
after letting my foot off is when i heat the sound for acouple seconds then
the sound stops. I just got a valve adjustment.

Valves that you can hear are much better than valves you can't hear.
