Toyota dominates 2006 quality rankings

  1. I do too. I buy Hondas with about 50K on them. Yes, you have to pay
a higher percentage of original value but what are your choices? Buy
a one or two year old domestic? (Hmmm, that raises a lot of
questions?) How are Subaru resale prices? After that it gets kind
of dicey, reliability-wise. Some Mazdas and Nissans are good. Not
much else I would look at now unless I had money to burn.

  2. This is like an internet myth or something. What year (approximately)
are you talking about? CR always considered the two cars pretty
interchangeable all the time they were twins.

So what? Top posting is obviously inferior, and only idiots do it.
It's a fact of life that some of us don't like lazy, selfish, idiots.

And some of us don't like arrogant, self-centered, blowhards. I guess
    we're equal now.

This is so true. While sell Hyundai in the Sacramento, CA area (Yipes, an
evil car salesman lurks here!) and I'm glad about the new ratings, I don't
put all that much 'stock' in them. With a few exceptions, I find the
quality of all cars today is terrific, considering the number of moving
parts and the wear/tear that they take.

I think the big differentiation in the market is beyond 'quality' (which is
almost uniform as I said above) and back to basic economics... what... and
how much... do you get for your dollar. I think that Toyota, Honda, Ford,
etc. and Hyundai are all very close and it's good that people have so many
    excellent choices in the marketplace.
