Trans. Fluid level check

    For auto trans. I knew most cars need to warm up and keep the engine running
    while checking the level. What about Accord V6, the manual did not mention
    to keep engine running. Does it need to ???

    All Hondas should be off when you check the transmission fluid.

    Page 213 of the 2000 Acura TL Owners Manual:

    "Automatic Transmission

    Check the fluid level with the engine at normal operating temperature.

    1. Park the car on level ground. Shut off the engine.

    2. Remove the dipstick (yellow loop) from the transmission and wipe it with
    a clean cloth.

    3. ...."

    daughter's now, so I don't have the owner's manual handy).

    "Fluid Level Checking/Changing

    Note: Check the fluid level with the engine at normal operating temperature
    (the radiator fan comes on).

    1. Park the vehicle on level ground. Turn off the engine.

    2. Remove the dipstick ... "
