    Hello -
I was hoping someone might be able to give me a little advice. I
picked up a rebuilt drivers side axle from Napa. I cannot get the
inboard cv joint to seat in the differential. The manual states to
insert it until the clip clicks. I can feel the splines line up but
cannot get it to click or go all the way in. Is there some kind of
trick I'm missing or does it require a whole lot of force to get it
back in? Also, me and the guy and Napa compared my old axle with the
one I purchased and they look identical, length, etc.

    Thanks in advance,
    Mike

insert other end into hub, then use the hub to slam the axle home into the
    tranny.

  3. Hmm, apart from Mista Bone's tip, have you checked the splines of the
replacement axle carefully for debris, paint and nicks? The one I got a
few years back had silver paint in the splines.
