V-6 Accord...Bizarre ultra-low idle problem.

1998 V-6 Accord. 205k. To preface, sometimes upon starting the idle
falls to around, say, 400-500rpm and lingers for several seconds and
then resumes the normal idle RPM's. Well tonight I started it (car
already plenty warm from several trips) and I thought it caught and
then shut off as the tach read zero. But I felt something. Turned all
accessories off and put my hands on the wheel and
listened/felt.......the car was actually running so slowly that the
tach would not register. A cat sitting in my back seat making that
closed-mouth rumble in it's throat would have been 5x times as loud.
What the ??? Furthermore, I then popped the gas pedal and tah-dah--->
Normal idle. This occurred on start but resembles the classic run-on
dieseling effect at shut-down. What happened? Injectors? Looking
forward to thoughts on this one :)

So you are telling me that's the fix????? Or what? I see no mention
(nor have I heard) of this idle/RPM problem in the suggested post. I
was having a condition where the car was literally idling at, say,
50(fifty) RPM. No one commented directly that it was rare, common, or
what have you. Are we still talking about the same thing?
