    Is there any way to tell if the engine is a VTEC with the absense of the
    Vtec markings?

    Just put a VTEC sticker on the car. The bigger the better. Who cares if
    the engine actually has VTEC?

    Lol i have found out now, it is a Vtec, my civic is 1999 completely stock
    1.5iVtec 114bhp factory extras - alloys, led spoiler etc. engine block
    number tells all!
