    Hi everyone,

Can you guys share some insight on waxes vs poly-sealants? Likes /
dislikes? The car in question is a '97 Civic LX (Canadian assembly).

    Thanks!

  2. Stay with carnuba waxes. I have tried so many different waxes and
sealants. But always come back to carnuba based waxes. Poly sealants may
last longer but a quality carnuba wax will give the best shine.
Be sure to first pre-clean the paint. If the paint is already in good
shape, use a paint cleaning clay. Sounds weird but it will get off all
the tiny little specs of tree sap and bug crap off the paing. You should
be able to feel the before and after effect of using the clay on the
paint. Try www.griotsgarage.com products. They are a catalog company so
you won't find their products in stores but I have had the best results
to date with their "Best-Of-Show" wax and paint cleaning clay. Send for
the catalog, you will learn a lot about care care from the catalog
    alone.

    Good Luck,
    B.
