I have a 96 honda accord lx nonvtec, I have headers, exhaust, and coldair
intake. The problem is the bracket that connects my header to the block
keeps cracking at bottom. I have a guy that has welded it once already and
then is cracked at the base of the bracket. He said I might need new motor
mounts because the engines twisting to much, any advice, please help. I only
have 70,000 miles on my car.

its fine the guy looked who did my exhaust. But i need a second opion on
motor mounts. See heres what im wondering, I was thinking 2 things. What
would happen if i just losen the braket that connect the headers to the
block and give it some space to play with when it bends? The guy said no for
some reason like thats what the flex joint is for. Then i was wondering if I
could put like rubber washers against the block where the headers connect to
it. Or put like springs between the block ond the bracket to the header? Or
if motor mounts will solve the whole problem then I would just buy them.

You can't put any plastics around there since they'll melt. The temperature
is pretty high. Fix it like it says in the book if you want to escape
problems that might occur further down the road. That means replacing the
motor mounts or whatever needs to be replaced. Motor mounts replacement
might not be the cheapest option but at least you'll get stability which is
of utmost importance. If the brackets break there will be a big mess. The
brackets are not that expensive but the job might take a few hours to do. So
be prepared to buy a few hundreds for this.

  5. I recently replaced my front mount with a Energy Suspension urethane piece.

The engine doesn't move much anymore! No more wheel hop, either.
There are also DIY's around for filling all the mounts yourself with liquid
    urethane.
