I have a 2008 Accord EX-L and I was thinking of adding xenon headlights to
it WITHOUT voiding the warrenty. I know that Honda doesnt offer a xenon
headlight kit for it, but I know there are alot of after market kits, some
250-1000, but the lower the less reliable and then again i would want t a
reputable place to install it. Anyone know of any good name brand installers
that would do this and still it would be okay with the warrenty?

    Thanks,
    Al

why? you can't legally make the lights brighter - all you're doing is
spending a lot of money to change the color temperature.

That's all the average dork is interested in doing. At least be happy that
the clown isn't painting his headlights black.

All good xenon kits will increase the amount of light and there are some
that are legal (at least in my state) and some that are not. Yes the color
changes also. Black?? No I don't think I'd be painting them black, what
purpose would that serve? Actually I am considering trading in my Accord for
an Acura, but I have to see if I get a good deal or not. I'm looking at one
    with Nav, xenon and bluetooth.

Look into HIR bulbs. Same wattage but about 50% more light. It fixed the
terrible headlights on my wife's 2005 Accord hybrid. Bulbs have an internal
infrared coating that reflects heat back to filament and makes it burn
brighter. Lasts just as long as halogen bulbs. Bases may need to be
trimmed to fit. A lighting expert you to post. I will get you his email
address if you want. He will tell you if there is a legal fix.

Well thanks, but I really wanted REAL xenon lights, not the "cool-blue"one
that sylvania makes or similar. I had those on prior cars and in spite of
the informtation that they last a year or two they only last 3 months on
average. The Acura deal fell through, so I guess i'm keeping my accord at
least until this fall and then consider the acura tsx. I'll see at the time.
In the meantime I love my accord exl, its got all the comfort of a real
luxury car and the sportiness of a sports car (minus some of the handling
    and nimbleness).

My brother just got the tsx and its a nice car, although smaller and the
seats are a little less comfortable. Its more nimble and sporty though. It
seems to have alot of great technological features.

HIR are not cool blue crap lights like the Sylvania garbage.

Contact Daniel Stern if you want to find out more about them or availability
    for your car.

Here is a good web site that discusses various bulbs including the HIR:
