Build date 12/1, shipping shortly thereafter. The EX coupe is a slick piece
of work and the EX sedan isn't too far behind. Elegant and they don't have
an EX medallion on the trunk.

But the Si is, unusually, the top of the line Civic.

Well, sort of, but it's more sport than luxury. There are some who want an
Si Sedan with the 197 hp (New SAE) 2 liter engine and the lsd. Being the
old fart that I am, I'll stick to the coupe (as if I could afford either).

for the R 1.8 plant. Honda is underrating these engines.

It looks that way, but both the Si and the Ex may have been hand build
pre-production examples. Vtec.net was not using their usual equipment in
Atlanta but one on the West Coast where they're building their SEMA project
    Si.

I know what I'd do for such a project and it'll be interesting to see the
results of their efforts. Honda is the official sponsor for this year's
SEMA and it will be interesting to see what the various aftermarket
companies come up with for the Civic. Personally I'd go for the sleeper,
but you know that the manufacturers with aim at the Fast 'n' Furious crowd.
