    Hello,

I have a 1995 Honda Civic EX V-Tec 1.6 and I have the following question:

Facing the front of the engine with the timing belts along the right side
and distributor along the left, which is Piston number 1 ?

The service manual for my '94 Civic Si V-TEC 1.6 (D16Z6 engine code)
lists the cylinder closest to the timing belt as number one.
