Won't start in hot sun-91 Accord

My 1991 Accord EX won't start in the late afternoon when
the sun heats up the driver's side of the car. As soon as the
sun goes down and the vehicle cools, the car starts instantly.

I suppose it's vapor lock or some such fuel system issue.
Any suggestions before I pay the local garage a bundle to
    diagnose it?

    Thanks

Sounds like the classic "Main Relay" problem except that I have not heard it
happen on Accords. Not even sure if Accords have that troublesome relay.
Anyway, if they do, you'll find the solution on the ff:

Yes indeed. And happily, I am handy with a
    soldering pencil!

And it happened to the factory stereo in this car, too. The left front
speaker went "intermittent," driving me nuts for a few years.
Then the right front speaker followed suit. Hours of troubleshooting
just left me frustrated. Finally, I disassembled the amplifier section
inside the deck, and there was a row of dry, broken solder joints
behind the plug for the wiring harness. I re-flowed them, and the
problem hasn't been heard from since.

Got the same problem with the radio on my 92 Integra. I suspected bad solder
joints but did dare open the unit. On your cue I may just do that now.

That certainly sounds like the same problem I had. Mine was caused by
broken solder joints for the connector pins on the back of the radio.
I don't recall the exact steps, but basically you remove the radio and
disassemble sufficiently to get access to the circuit board behind the
socket where the harness plugs into the radio. Look closely at the
two rows of solder connections where the connector pins are attached
to the circuit board. . .mine were visibly broken. It's probably best
just to re-solder all of them.

Good luck, let us know how it comes out!
